Hi DezDafying,
I'm probably going to be starting the csd on Monday August 13.  This weekend I'm going to a barbeque.  On August 31st, I'm invited to a friend's wedding and my fiance will be there, (we are 5 hours away from each other) so I need to lose weight by then.  I was on the csd 2 weeks ago and I stopped on day 3, I had lost 2 lbs, and then I did the 3 day diet, and lost another 2 lbs.  I'm eating bad foods, although I haven't gained anything yet, I feel so gross with myself, so I gotta start soon.

Well if all goes well that will be my day eight and depending on if I lost any weight this week I will start a second week so I will be there with you.

Emerald did you have any problem staying on the three day diet? I have not done it yet and I am on day 4 of the csd diet and have not lost a pound so I am a bit discouraged.  This ever happen to you?

Hi Nancy,
I had no problems with the 3 day diet, I actually did another version of it, where on the 1st day you fast but drink lots of water, and day 2, you drink pure fruit juices and eat fruit only, and day 3, you drink pure vegetable juices and eat vegies only.  I lost 4 lbs on that, and I did the 3 days on the csd, and lost another 2 lbs on that.  I did the csd a couple of times, the 1st time I went up to day 5, and lost 4 lbs, the second time I  went up to day 3 and lost 2 lbs, and the other time I did up to day 2, and lost nothing, and then the last time I did up to day 3, and lost 2 lbs.  I also worked out.  Try walking, and drinking lots and lots of water, check you weight by day 8 and you should see some results.  Good luck

Hey! I just fell on this website! I'd like to lose about 30 pounds total, but i realize that's an impossible goal in 7 days. My main goal here is to get a good start...lose a few pounds to get me started on a good track. Also I have a reunion on August 20th which means i have 7 days to do my best at this and there's no room for failure! I'll be working out during the 7 days also and i hope it's a habit I'll keep afterwards as well...I never work-out so if anyone wants to try it out with me let me know!! smiley-biggrin

I am starting on the 13th as well.  3 weeks ago I weighed 134 at 5'4.  I was quite thin because I am very muscular - I am a soccer player.  I was wearing a size 4/6 and feeling good.  14 days ago I contracted a severe staph and strep infection and have been on bedrest until today.  I was horrified to see that I have gained 16 pounds in 14 days.  I used to work out 6 days a week (soccer, boxing, weight-lifting) and I ate a low-carb diet.  When I got sick, I ate whatever my family brought to me and I did not get out of bed for 2 weeks.  I feel awful about myself and decided that the csd may be a good way to lose much of this weight.  I am hoping since I put it on very quickly, it will come off very quickly.  Has anyone had a similar experience?  Has anyone gained very quickly and then had sucess losing quickly with csd?  My boyfriend lives 4 hours away and I do not want him to see me like this.  I am not used to being this size.  I am not going to see him for 2 and 1/2 weeks and I am hoping to lose the 15 before then.  Any advice or support would be really appreciated.  I feel really bad about myself and my boyfriend does not like heavy girls.

Hi Julie...Unfortunately I haven't done this yet so I can't comfort you, but you and I are the same height and weight approximately now and aiming to lose the same amount of weight...so I'm wishing you good luck and I hope we both succeed! smiley-bounce

Wow...rough start! I didn't sleep all night for some reason! I just ate some apples for breakfast and did the groceries to make the soup...I think I'll nap soon, then cook, the hit the gym tonight? I would've liked to go earlier but my night has put me off track...But it's day one! Gotta do this!!! How you ladies doing?

Thanks for the support.  I am glad I found this forum.  I have started today and I am about to make my breakfast of cantelope, strawberries and raspberries.  I am going to wait an hour before eating the soup after reading this is better for the system.  I am completely dedicated to doing this for at least one week.  If it works well, I will do it for a second week.  I just hope my willpower holds up.  I am very good at watching what I eat, but am a little worried I will get sick of cabbage soup.  Have any of you done it for 2 weeks?  Did you take a break in between?  Thanks.

Hi you new dietiers!

As for doing the diet two weeks in a row, I tried that last year and found I lost less weight the second week.  So after that I did a week on week off and it was easier for me to stick to it.  On my off weeks though I still ate the soup for lunch and sometimes befoe my meal at dinner.

I also continued to eat my fruits and veggies and tried to avoid bread, pasta and rice that was the hard part

hi Julie, it's better to take a break in between.  Your body has already lost all the water it needs to in that week, so taking a break helps a lot, you will lose more after that.

Hey all!

Well- my plans to start today fell through- NO SOUP!  I didn't have time until this evening to whip up another batch, so I'm starting fresh tomorrow!  PUMPED! smiley-smile

Question- I just keep the pot of soup in the fridge.  Is this safe?  How long does a pot of soup stay good for before I should toss it out?  I usually eat the whole thing by the end of the week, but I had some left over once that was there about 2 weeks.  It tasted fine, but I wasn't sure if it was "good."  Any suggestions would be appreciated! smiley-smile

Weigh-in and reporting begins tomorrow morning- Tuesday!!

Well for all of you that started today and tomorrow WHOO HOO!  I am on my off week and ate my leftover pasta from dinner out last night.  I think I really will have to give up the pasta and bread it makes me feel even more hungry so tomorrow it is:

Fruit for breakfast
snack on celery, carrots and fat free dressing
soup for lunch
more veggie snacks
then a big big pan of stir fried veggies in the now very tasty oyster sauce
last snacks---dill pickles

I know it sounds yummy LOL

Hey Nancy!

Oyster Sauce?  What is that?  I know different spices are allowed on this diet because they have no calories.  I've found something called Molly McButter or something like that which is powdered butter flavor with 5 calories per serving that you sprinkle on anything and it will melt and that's helped with flavor.  What other sauces and falvorings have you used that are low-cal and low-fat and allowed on the CSD?  I want to change it up a bit! smiley-smile

Well Nancy...that's a pretty impressing meal plan for someone on their off week, Congrats!!
I also have a question...How strict is this diet...tomorrow is my veggie day and I was thinking of a salad for lunch...Can I add feta cheese ? or should i stick strictly to veggies??
And also I forgot to say I started this week at 147 and I'll be avoiding the scale til day 7 ... hopefully a good surprise awaits!

The oyster sauce I use I buy at an asian market in my town.  But in the larger grocery stores they usually have "oyster flavored sauce" which has 40 cal per tbls and oyster sauce only has 5.  Big differnce.  It is usally the flavoring you would taste on any stirfried veggies from an asian resturant.  It really makes the veggies taste wonderful, and I hope you can find it.   Another sauce or sauces I have found with 0 caloreis is made from a company called Walden Farms..they have a website but some stores carry the products.  They have oriental sauce (similar to oyster sauce) marania sauce, and chocolate!

I also you fat free itilian dressing to dip my raw veggies in--again 5 cal per tbl
