questions

Hello there

I have a few questions that i hope you could help me to answer... I have done this diet before.. I'm not over weight i just did it to give my boyfriend support... Cause he wanted to lose a few... Well i ended up getting some benefit from it cause i felt so good at all the end of it.  But i just wanted to know are there any deficiencies and is there any long term effects that could happen when you do this diet more them once? And last but nor least who created this great diet smiley-smile

Thank for your time.

Re: questions

I hope I can answer some and I am no expert

Who created it, I have no idea

Long term effects? Well this is only meant to jump start you diet needs and is not intended for long term, but I have known some on here with Dr.'s permission did it long term.  This is very low calorie so I would think you would need more than this in the long run

Re: questions

Just to add in two cents here. If you read most of the written up explanation for these diets you will see that it says that it must be used in conjuction with a good multivitamin and is not good for extended periods of use as it depletes your system and sets your body to run in starvation mode thereby dropping your metabolism. When your metabolism has dropped it causes your body to store any fat, and I mean any possible fat, that comes into your system so that in the future you won't starve...so to the crux is that if you continue the diet for longer than a week and sometimes two you will end up just causing your body to put more weight on.  smiley-surprise

Re: questions

I have a question too. I'm on day 3 and I'm wondering can you eat avocadoes on this diet? Does anyone know?

Re: questions

I have not read of anything or do not know fo anything that says avos are not allowed on day three. After all day three is both a veg and fruit day. Avo is classified as a veg, however bare this in mind. Avos are very healthy, althought they are classified as a "B" grade vegetable. Thier calorie conent (almost 250 calories per 150 grms) is rather high. Moreover so is their fat content. For ever 150 grams there is almost 23 grams of fat.

It's really up to you at the end of the day what you wish to eat. Many of the members on here will tell you that this diet is flexible as long as you stay to the guide lines, but you have to just be careful.

I wish you the best of luck though. I didn't quite like day three either!

Re: questions

Hi Gabreila, just what I have read about avacados I would avoid them during the week when doing the csd.  just because they are so high in calories and fat.

and you have so many other choices that are just as good!

It is only one week ~~~~7 tiny little day~~~~168 hours~~~~10,080 minutes smiley-clapping
