On the "new" cabbage soup diet you are allowed 8oz of skim milk per day or a yogurt

A lot of people have complained of being lighheaded the first few days, and bloated.  Just drink plenty of water that will help..all that fruit the first day

The diet is prety much the same, day 1 fruit and soup, day 2 veggies and soup, etc the only real addition is that it allows you to have either 8oz of skim milk a day OR 8oz of fat free yogurt.  Oh and no butter on that baked potato.  And if I remember right (I will have to check when I am back home--on the road now) I don't remember rice on day 7 but that does not mean it is not there

nancy

btw I purchased the book at a local book store

Re: can i drink my unsweetend drinks with skimed milk?

The new diet I did from a Margaret Danbrot  book is as follows:

Day 1 - Fruit and soup, c of milk or serving of ff, no-sugar yogurt
Day 2 - Veggies and soup, baked potato, c of milk or yogurt
Day 3 - Veggies and fruit, soup, milk or yogurt
Day 4 - Bananas, skim milk, can sub one serving of milk with yogurt, soup
Day 5 - Chicken or fish, soup, tomatoes and milk or yogurt
Day 6 - Chicken or fish, soup, veggies and milk or yogurt
Day 7 - Fruit, veggies, soup, milk or yogurt

The recipe is basically the same except it has you add 2 c of cooked rice since there is none on day 7.  I kept it separate and  on veggie days I made stiry fry and used a couple of T of rice in it instead of the soup.

Juice is a no-no but coffee, tea and water are allowed and artificial sweeteners are as well.  One T of non-fat or low-fat dressing is allowed daily as well.

Good luck.

I lost 32 pounds in 3 months doing the New Cabbage Soup Diet and have stayed at 124 for the last 3 months eating and exercising sensibly!  You can do it too!
Update I'm now down to 121 and counting.
Update as of 9/12 I'm 120!
After my recent bout of CSD 10/6 I'm 117.6

Thanks for posting it Sweetjag...I have been waiting for someone to post this new version....and give a source where it could be found.  It  will be very helpful to me and I am sure others who need more than a few tweaks to stay on this diet.  Sometimes just a few little differences or changes can make a world of difference...........
