I am having a hard time eating the soup.
Anyways

My goal is 10-15 pounds by Aug.26

Re: looking for a buddy

Hi there.  Have you found a buddy yet?  I don't have one either.  I'm on day 3 and I really feel like I must not be doing the recipe correctly.  My soup is so deliscious and every one else seems to complain about the taste.  I think I'm eating too much.  My first day I had 6  bowls of it.  The second day about 5 and today I'm having to cook up another batch.  I'm really eating much more soup than I am the other items.  I wonder if that is as beneficial.  I haven't lost but one pound.

Please let me know how you are doing and what type of recipe are you using for the soup.  Good luck.

Tracey

Re: looking for a buddy

hi cocacolathomas,
My soup tasted good too, I added pepper and lime to mine and it was delicious, so don't worry, there's nothing wrong with you soup.  I did lose weight, you just have to wait until day 8 and weigh yourself.  Good luck to you.

Re: looking for a buddy

Hi all! smiley-first

Today is day 1 for me! I've done the cabbage soup many years ago and was successful with the weight loss. I plan to do this for 7 years with a cheat day, because I have to attend a b'day celebration. The food is good at the restaurant and I'm not depriving myself! (lol) It'll be day 5 by that time and I'll just continue on after that. Thanks for the information about repeating day 3 in lieu of the bananas. I'm not a banana fan nor milk, so repeating will work just fine. I'm currently at 170, 5'3 and need to lose 20 lbs. or so. I also plan to to take 25 grams of whey protein shake because I work out and my body needs protein. Will check in next week and let you guys know my progress.

Re: looking for a buddy

Hi everyone, I'm starting day one again today too.  I did it the week before last, and lasted 3 days before falling off the wagon but I was more mindful of the food I ate after that and ended up losing 2lbs. I have only had the soup today, I will have some fruit with dinner later.  I'm so glad to see more people starting now too!  My goal is to do it for the full 7 days this round, take 3 days off then do it again, after that I might do 3 days on 3 days off... we'll see...  I just got the negative calorie book a couple days ago but haven't had tiime to read it yet, I know I've seen it mentioned on this site.

Re: looking for a buddy

Hi all!

Thanks for the Welcome Lady and Nancy.

I did really well on yesterday, but don't have much of an appetite because of PMS! (lol)Last week was "salt, chocolate, etc." and this week "nothing!" I need to get serious about my weight loss, so here I am on CSD after many years.

Re: looking for a buddy

Hi Nancy,

I ate, 1/2 pear for breakfast, about 2 cups of soup during lunch, and 1/2 pear for snack. I didn't have an appetite later, so I ate nothing for the remainder of the day.

I dranked 8 oz. of whey protein after I worked out this a.m.,  yogurt for breakfast and just finished eating a few pieces of fresh broccoli w/ranch dressing. I'll eat 2 C. of the soup again for lunch and broccoli later. I can't stomach the soup, but once a day. I hope I'll be successful.

I need the protein because I work out, so I can't go without. I saw the yogurt on a new version of Cabbage soup, but can't find the url now.

Thanks Nancy for your support!

Re: looking for a buddy

Thanks for the welcome back, I am doing good so far on day 2 have only had soup so far.  I plan on having a salad for dinner with some more soup, I don't have any potatoes and no time to go to the store to get one but not worried about it, not a big potato fan anyway.  This is harder than it was the first round, but I'm more determined to get a jump start on losing weight this time so I am just gonna stick to it.  I've been drinking water with lemon all day, and I did have some coffee this morning, I leave my house at 5 a.m. and I don't think I can do it without that at least.  But I only had one cup instead of my usual 2 or 3.  It helps so much to come to this board and see everyone's posts, really keeps you on track.

Re: looking for a buddy

Day 3 now, the scale says I lost a pound which is good, it shows the effort is paying off.  I brought cucumbers, carrots and grapes with the soup to work today and have to make a fresh pot of soup tonight for dinner.  I only made a small one this time because I only lasted 3 days last attempt and ended up throwing it out and I hate to waste it.  So ... making new tonight and will hopefully make it to the end of the week.  How is everyone else doing?

Re: looking for a buddy

It's Day 3 for me too and going much better than yesterday now that I can have fruit again!  I wasn't going to get on the scale until the end of the week, but I couldn't resist this morning and it said I was down 4lbs already!  Whoo-hooo!! smiley-smile  That definitely motivates me to keep going.  I know I can do it.  I'm just taking it 1 day at a time.  It's so hard sometimes though, because I'm home all day with my son and I never realized how much I snacked all day!  No wonder I'm fat! smiley-wink  Hope everyone's doing good and having a good day!

Re: looking for a buddy

I know what you mean, I have never eaten so many ritz crackers, cheezits,  lunchables or mac n cheese in my life. I only recently started working again- my son just turned 2 and my daughter is 6 months- and I gained alot since she was born and I was home.  Plus ice cream before bed with hubby didn't help yet.. so I know how hard it is to make an adjustment like that.  I haven't been exercising because I just don't have time right now to go to the gym but I think next week I am going to work on my schedule a bit to make it happen.  I'm sure once I start the weight will come off much quicker.  Good job on finishing day 3, that's great!

Re: looking for a buddy

I don't like milk and am not a huge fan of bananas, so I think I'm just going to do day 3 again.  Also don't eat beef or fish so will probalbly have a little chicken tomorrow but most likely will just do day 3 again then too lol.  Basically for me, it will be day one, day two then day 3 all the way through except on a day when I actually want some meat.

Re: looking for a buddy

I, myself would grow very tired of this diet if I did what you plan on doing Ikirby.  Myself, I like the changes .....and I really like doing the entire  CSD followed by the 3DD....which is 10 days of changes.  If you have just a little weight to lose you might be OK with that way of doing it...but....if ya got any REAL amount of weight to lose...I don't believe it will work very well...plus health is an issue...one needs these other nutrients the other days offer  for health benefits.... especially if you are going to be on this woe for any length of time.................I guess, whatever works for you....but....possibly....this diet may not be for you..............

Re: looking for a buddy

Ikirby & Sunback congrats for day 3!

Ikriby, I don't do bannana, they make me gag and I am loactose intolorent and refuse to go and buy latatose pills just so I can eat something I dislike and a drug to keep me from severe cramps and dirareha for the sake of a diet.
I like you am not much of a meat eater so doing days 1,2 & 3 repeating should have no harmful effects on your health....after all vegatarins and vegans have been doing it for years and they seem to be a heatlhy bunch (at least that is what my cusion says and he wrote a book on it)

Re: looking for a buddy

Yup I know Nancy, I was a vegetarian for a few years myself and I felt great, I did the soy no meat no dairy thing and I had NO ill health effects.  I rarely eat poultry at all, probably just once a week if that and I'm fine.  As for the post about this diet not being for me Brooks... hmm thanks for your advice but that's a pretty bold statement to make to someone you don't know, I think I'll agree to disagree.  You don't need steak to survive, no matter what my husband seems to think smiley-tongue  And I never said I wouldn't include the grains or soy products or beans on those days. I saw another post of someone who does that, great ideas.

Moving on- what is the 3 day diet Nancy?  I know several of you have mentioned it and I was going to ask but didn't before.

Re: looking for a buddy

Sorry if I offended you Ikirby...yes, if beans or tofu or ff boca burgers and such are included yeah...then it's healthy. I was a vegetarian for about 7 or 8 years...not a vegan though....I ate cheese, milk eggs etc. I was a fat vegetarian because I also ate french fries, potato chips, or snacks in bags, candy, cookies and such.  The daily choices on this diet are rather limited in catagories, where as diets like SB for instance have many many choices in catagories and within those catagories...all I meant is that if ya need more choices and it's too hard...a diet such as SB might be more suitable............I never meant to offend....it's just that I'm a person that cuts to the chase....and....it sometimes gets me in trouble..................I will agree to disagree with you....and lets go on from here...........
