I am from India,and have started on the CSD from 12.9.2007. Today was my second day and it was tough. In fact getting the ingredients for CSD itself is very tough ,so I have made an Indian version of it. So far I have managed to loose only 1.1lbs (500gms) and have 10 kgs(22Lbs) to go.
CSD is really very tough.

So you speak Hindi? Kaisa hai aup? I'm not Indian but I know how to speak Hindi.
Just stick to you diet exactly as it says and you will lose weight. Drink lots of water and if you can try to exercise and you will do great. Good luck.

yes I do speak Hindi and Bengali .bengali is the regional language spoken in the Eastern part of India.
I am drinking lots of water. As for exercise I am using a fat reducing masage belt twice a date.

KAnta, it's best to do some cardio and get your body moving. I don't know about the belt, because you just stand there and it shakes you. It's best to sweat and move around a lot. Walk for 45 minutes a day if you can, thats really good. My mom eats well and she goes for a fast walk everyday and she lost 30lbs. Walking is the best.

I have yet to really start any type of exercise but you know the saying "hope springs...... LOL
I will be starting csd on Sunday the 16th and will need some of that hope

I was so mad with myself. I didnt have the willpower and I cheated right after the 2nd day. I have to loose 30 kgs(66 pounds). That my goal.
next week I am planning to start the 3dd,maybe it will help me have the courage to go back to csd.
The Indian version of csd is different. Instead of celery I used corriander leaves. I couldnt get boullion ,so I skipped it. I also could not get V8 juice ,so I skipped that. What I did was take chopped onions,cabbage,tommatoes,carrots,capsicum and put them all in a pressure pan.Added a liitle salt and pepper and plenty of water.
After all the vegetables had softened I had a stew kind of preperation .
I know I must have gone wrong . It tasted ok only the first time...

Don't be so hard on yourself. With your soup if you can't get celery try put in parsley as the replacement, it is a very good diuretic like the celery.
Do you know that you will still lose weight if you eat your soup before each meal even if you are not on the diet? Maybe you want to try doing that instead, then you can use the soup for much longer because you are also eating normally so you are getting your protein carbs etc. It will work at a slower rate but the weight will definately come off.
This will also inspire you to try and eat a little healthier at mealtimes when you see that you have lost weight. Remember why you lose with the soup is because it uses more calories to digest the soup than what the soup actually gives you. For eg: it might take say 500 calories for your body to digest a bowl of soup but the soup is so low on calories that it could just be say 300 calories. Therefor you have lost 200 calories just by eating the soup. So even if you continue your normal day to day eating and include the soup you will be burning calories that you didn't burn before.
Try it that way for a week or two and then weigh yourself and let us know your results. Rather slow weight loss than beating yourself up because you aren't good with diets. Remember to add additional water to your diet as well.

im an indian too ..i ve tried doing the diet before but havent ever made it beyond day 2 :( a bummer i know
i really dont know abt the belt but i think it just might work
its not a difficult diet but i know its tough to do it alone ...but with all the support on this forum i think we might be able to do it
I am starting the diet tomorrow and im in need of a buddy too ..lets do it together :)

i just read you were having trouble finding all the ingredients for the soup ...you know u can always do your own personal version of the soup ..when i was in india i used to have tomato soup instead of the cabbage soup(figured out ..as long as its a low calorie soup ,,its ok) and you can always add spices to make it little appetising ..remember this is all we ll be having for the coming 7 days .HTH
