Re: looking for a buddy

The thing we have in common is that I gained my weight - not the baby weight, the regular old fat weight- from eating junk food too.  That's why not having too many choices is good for me, I have no restraint, I'm actually the team leader of the compulsive overeaters group on SparkPeople.com.  Limited categories is a plus for me, I don't have to track calories or fat grams and I don't think about what kind of snack I can have later, because if you put a packaged snack in front of me, it won't be enough I guarantee it.  Not to say I won't return to some normal diet in the next couple of weeks, I plan to but to jumpstart this works and helps get the sweet and salty urges out of my mind, and to see any weight loss at all helps to keep me motivated.  People are different, it seems like you enjoy the variety of changing up your food options, and that's great, boredom is definitely one of the reasons alot of people don't stick to diets.  I think point of view is a big difference, I love veggies and even when I'm not dieting will make soups or salads or stir frys just because I like them... and there are so many good veggie recipes out there that it isn't really eating the same things over and over.  I've seen some good recipes posted on this site that I hadn't thought of, gonna try some later.

Re: looking for a buddy

Ikirby...well said...point well taken...at this time, SB has too many choices and seems difficult to follow.  This plan is easy and one doesn't have to think about it that much............at least, that's how it is for me.  I have finished the 7 days of the CSD and have lost 8#...I am on day 2 of the 3DD and it really wasn't all that hard....no books to study or long lists to check...and that's what I like about both diets.

Re: looking for a buddy

I have completed a week on the csd and was under the impression  you should not countinue for more than 7 days at a time.  Do some stay on it longer with out a break in between?  I would appreciate some comments.  Thanks

Re: looking for a buddy

Ikirby....yes...I do like the days changing to different foods...that's why I choose this diet....also, I like all the foods on the plan, so I knew I wouldn't have a problem with it.  The changes are easy to follow and the foods are common, available everywhere...and there are also not alot of rules. My kind of diet!  Finished my day 2's food and looking forward to day 3 on my 3DD....I feel that I am still losing as much as when I was on the CSD...will find out when I weigh myself on Saturday...will start the CSD again that day.......

Re: looking for a buddy

kameron20950...Some do it longer.  I am because I have a reunion to go to at the end of the month...and I am determined to fit into my outfit.  At this point...I am doing the 3DD (3 day diet) and when that's done, I will start the CSD over again....rotating between these 2 diets which become a 10 day run... until that weekend I attend the High School Reunion.  This is not a long term diet...I won't do it back to back....but my reunion is only 2 weeks away...I Feel there will be no harm in doing this....The last 10 days beat the previous way I was eating ( pizza, cookies , chips and sandwiches, and I never ate fruit)  This diet is a jumpstart diet as much of the bloat one has leaves and clothes fit better and a person feels like going on...that's mainly what I'm interested in for now.  After these next few weeks, I may look into the SB diet as this diet is a true life style change.  If you have not heard of the 3DD...here is a site where you can check it out..............http://www.everydiet.org/3_day_ diet.htm        P.S. Most people would be unable to stay with this diet for a long period of time, as cravings for eggs, cheese, bread etc. would get the best of you...so even if one wanted to stay on the CSD I really don't know how anyone could.  The soups good, but not that good to eat for say 2,4, or 6 months1!
