Hi All,
I am planning to start his 7 day program from tomorrow. However, I'd not want to lose much of muscle while on this program.
I have two questions:
1. Can I take L-glutamine 20g /day for amino acids needed for muscle maintenance?
2. Can I take CLA/OMEGA 3 FATTY acid supplements 3gms/day to mee daily needs?
will these supplements hamper the weight loss?
If so, how much? plus, what percentage of the loss is FAT loss, if any?
Appreciate all the responses.

zonayed, I don't think any of us on this forum are qualified to really answer those questions. I know from most I respond too that we re just regular guys and gals with weight to lose, not dieticians or nutrionilsts.
For the most part what is lost on this diet is water from my understanding with some fat and most likely muscle if not exercsing
Please consult with a professional to get an acurate answer

Hi Zonayed
I agree with Nancy about most of the loss being water, but it is good as a detox to boost your metabolism and give the old system a good cleanout. I think it is a bit too quick to get rid of muscle mass because of it being only 7 days. I did the detox and now I still eat the soup as my mid morning and mid afternoon snacks. It keeps me full and all the hunger pangs are gone so that it is much easier to eat healthily. What most don't realise is that this soup is a food that uses more calories digesting it than what it gives your body. So by eating it you are burning additional calories as if you are excercising. It gives you say 300 calories but it takes your body 500 calories to digest it. great way to lose weight if you ask me. I liquidise mine so it's easier to consume and I don't mind having a cup before meals as well. I am currently on a high protein and veggie and fruit diet, although Ido eat cheese milk as well and as I said the soup in between. This is definately working for me and it all started with the CSD detox of seven days
