Hi there CSD'ers ...
I have bad news, and good news ...
The bad news (which many of you are aware of), is that I had a server crash, and despite my best efforts I have been unable to get the old forums up and running again. This is a very saddening loss, as we had the most active Cabbage Soup Diet discussion in the world.
The good news is that I've just installed a BRAND NEW forum system, so we can start communicating again!
If you were a member of the old forums, unfortunately you'll need to register again - there's not much I can do about this.
I invite and encourage you to get the conversation started again. I have created a category for any comments or suggestions you may have (e.g. new discussion categories that you'd like me to add).
So, Welcome, or Welcome Back, as the case may be!
Warmest regards
Blair.

Wow! A new look for sure.
I'm sure we'll get used to it. I hope some of the old users come back to share their wisdom and experience.
Good luck to all.

Oh hey 3K. Nope you're the only one I've seen so far! I'm sure there'll be more people we know back on here soon enough. This was a very inspirational site and I'm sure it'll become that way again.

Hi..I am new. Into the morning of day 5. Had a few thin strips of beef with tomatoes slices and a little cup of soup. I am just trying to get back into the clothes in my closet. 4 yrs ago I lost 30 lbs on weight watchers and managed to maintain about 25 of it until this summer. I am a WW Lifetime member but just don't feel like getting on the scale and don't have the time to attend meetings and too frugal to pay the weekly fee again.
After the weeks over I want to go back to the healthy lifestyle. I am hoping this will be a great jumpstart to smarter choices. I was successful on WW because I spent more time preparing my own food.
If this works, how long before I can do this again. Does anyone have any experiences?

Good morning everyone
Good to see the forum up and running.I am kind of an oldie ,but there a few veterans I hope return here as they were a huge inspiration to me when I did the CSD before. It is sad to see all of our old posts lost and gone forever.Especially the inspirational ones and all the great recipes.I have a CSD book that I made when I did the CSD ,full of recipes for CSD and Maintenance recipes.I will try to post some here ,but as I am always pressured for time I don't know how often I can post.
I am not on CSD but I like to incorporate things in the CSD to my regular diet.I did the CSD for a long time and had great results. But,if you don't stick to that kind of eating it all comes back(and that happened to me)as everyone in my family are meat and tater people).I have to work at getting back into my healthy eating and walking /running and I figured that this was the best place for me to start.Except when I got here I found a brand new site.I hope it gets back up and is as successful as the other one.Good luck to everyone and I will try to post some recipes soon

Although the old forum is no longer working, I have been very busy "behind the scenes" to give people some sort of access to the old posts.
Let's say you want to search all of the old posts for the word "recipe".
Go to Google.com, and enter the following:
site:cabbage-soup-diet.com recipe
Voila! You'll see a big list of pages, and most of the links with the word "HTML" in the URL should still be viewable.
If you don't see me posting here much, please rest assured a LOT has been going on behind the scenes to restore this data!
Anyway, I hope you find this to be useful.
Cheers
Blair.

Hello Blair
My user name on the old discussion board was conqueror1. I must say I am glad you gave us the opportunity to support each other once again. Thank you soooo much
Hello mom2five, Leah Ann, mickie and any old posters i missed. I miss you all. I normally began CSD'ing around this time of year to began losing prior to making new years resolutions so mine will be to continue losing. It sound so much more pleasant to me.

I used to post on these boards about a year ago, but then I got pregnant with baby #3 and stopped dieting. Now, my new little guy is nearly 15 weeks old, so I thought it was time to start thinking about getting back on the CSD diet again.
Wow! Things have really changed since I was here last. The new message boards are nice though. Looks like alot of the old information was lost. I know I have alot of the old recipes archived on my old hard drive, I'll have to go through them and see if any need to be posted.
Right now, I'm planning to start the diet again on January 1st. Hoping to lose about 15 lbs total, but would be happy to see even a couple pounds gone the first week.

Hi everyone. I remember visiting the old board a year or so ago, but I never registered. I have had some small success's following the CSD before, but I never stuck with it for more then a few weeks. My husband loves going out to eat at restaurants a lot. That and ice-cream are my weaknesses. I'm back for another try at it though as the weight just seems to keep climbing higher and higher every month. I'm on day 2 right now and doing pretty good so far. No hunger as of yet. Hope to get a lot of good ideas and recipes from here to help make the diet work for me this time.

Well I'm new to this site but I did try this diet many years ago and it worked! So here I am again on day two and so far all is going well. I am wondering if a tin of tuna in salted water would be OK instead of the beef doe anyone know if this would screw the diet up? Oh and I left out the celery on the soup basically as I can't stand it!
This forum is great by the way and just what I need to stck to it.

Hi Sally22 -- I'm not into beef much so I saute'd a chicken breast and then fish of some kind. The salt in the tuna should be washed away with all the water we have to drink, so I think that should work. I'm still losing, so I guess it worked!
This is a terrific site! A goldmine for CSD'rs!!!!

Blair is anyone having the same problem with notification emails as I do? None of the links sent seem to work I just get page not found.

Hi All,
I am on day 5 of the diet. I have stuck to it to a tee, but I haven't weighed myself since Monday morning. I do not plan to weigh until Monday morning after day 7. I feel like I've lost weight. My question is now that we are at the weekend - is there any room for a drink? Can I mix Absolute w/ Crystal Light Lemonade? Help me it is the end of week drink w/ my husband.
