The book I'm thinking of is "The Last Battle" by CS Lewis, part of his Narnia series.
"onward and upward" is the motto of the children as they progress through their trials.

LOL i missed this thread~! sorry all forgot i was on it...Its very nice to meet you as well aussie!

So lets see I love reading! great to see that people actually read here!
I dont have the best spelling or grammar, but I do know that i made mistakes that i could fix[im lazy (that counts right??)].

anyways i hope all is going well with the CSD for you aussie day one today right?

im on day 6 and made a little booboo, i had a glass of unsweetened fruit juice (didnt realize that was day 7) i hope it doesnt mess with my results!

anyways time to go read all the posts i have missed!
