Thanks to my Friends!

Hey, I just wanted to say that last night when I was at a work function for dinner, I did not cheat (on day 6--a big 'ol steak and salad--OK, just a little cheat with some dressing on the salad, it was heaven).  Do you want to know why I didn't have that baked potato loaded with sour cream or go the the dessert bar with turtle cheesecake and lots of other scrumptious cakes?  It's because I literally pictured all of you standing there screaming at me "DON'T DO IT JENNIFER!" and I really thought about how disappointed you all would be if I did.  Hey, whatever WORKS!!

Thanks for being great support!!

Re: Thanks to my Friends!

Thanks, sista.  I knew you'd be OK with the dressing!!  MMMMMMMMMM...bleu cheese dressing.  It was so good.

But nothing tastes as good as thin feels!  Not that I'm thin YET, but I do feel different and my pants are fitting better.  I'm waiting until tomorrow (day 8) to weigh in b4 I eat/drink anything in the morning.  Hoping for a big loss.

Re: Thanks to my Friends!

Not as great as I hoped, but like I said in another thread, 3 lbs. is a sustainable loss.  And getting under the 190 mark felt really good.  I did step on the digital scale a couple extra times just to see if it wasn't "registering" correctly the 7-lb loss I was expecting.  But it kept saying 189, 189, 189.  I am continuing the first three days again today-Friday (until the reharsal dinner anyway), so I potentially could lose a little more since I think those days are the biggest losing days.  So I will definitely post some wedding pictures and let you all know how the next three days go.

I am sooooo thankful for all your support everyone.  I can't believe how close I feel to you all after just a few weeks of being online bond girls.

Hugs & Kisses,
Jennifer

Re: Thanks to my Friends!

Jennifer,
I know it is disappointing, I lost three my first week I did csd.  But after I calmed down, it really is a lot!!  Me and Sally like the butter analogy.  Grab three pounds of butter and hold them up to you because that is what used to be on your body!  It really is a lot!  And weren't you dieting before this week too?  I think our metabolism does slow down and need a jolt.  So keep going up until the wedding (Or rehearsal dinner....I couldn't wait for that damn rehearsal dinner!  I was like oh yes somebody get me a beer and give me a second I'll be ready for another!!)  And have fun at the rehearsal and the wedding without guilt!  And then jump back on Monday.  I bet you will have a great week after that little metabolism boost!
Oh and I don't have time to post on both threads cause I am late and shouldn't be sitting here right now, but I just wanted to say - You go girl for growing out your bangs!  Way to show her who's boss!!!
And isn't it great to have a husband who loves you how you are, no matter how you do your hair, no matter if you have your lip stick on or not?  That's how mine is too and I feel blessed every day (well , almost!!!!)
Congrats on the three pounds!

xoxo

Re: Thanks to my Friends!

Thanks for the words of wisdom Mandy.  This was my second round of CSD, so I shouldn't be so down about the total loss.  I agree with you that your metabolism slows down and you lose weight more slowly after a short time.  It's just... that first week, I cheated quite a bit on day 6 once the wine was open, and then totally blew day 7 and still ended up with a net 3.6-lb loss (which was still also after three days of bingeing).  So then I thought since I was really quite strict (other than coffee once a day and that blasted salad dressing--though I'm sure it wasn't the couple tablespoons of bleu cheese that did me in, let's face it), I thought this week would produce the 6-7 pound loss I had achieved initially the first round before blowing it at the end.

BUT, all told, in a little more than two weeks and with *quite a bender* in the middle, I still netted a 6.6-lb. loss.  So hey, not bad.

I also feel a little silly that everyone is congratulating me on fitting into the dress, b/c it did have a 'little bit' to do with the seamstress' help! smiley-blush  But I'm sure that 6 pounds of butter helped too.  LOVE that analogy.

I should get my measurements too and see if anything, uh, shifted...smiley-dry

Yeah, hubbies can be great, but let's not push it to say we are blessed EVERY day!  They can have their moments, too...

I'm just not even going there with my mom and her ridiculous smiley-rolleyes comments, but thanks for your kind words.  I'm afraid if I start, I just won't stop.

Ciao for Now!
Jennifer
