Topic: Tomatoes

Message: Hello Everyone!I'm new to this board and this is day #4 for me (bananas and skim milk). I actually suprised myself as I have made it through to this day. The veggies and fruit were no problem but day 4 is a little challenging because I don't have the variety. I read through some of what to do with the tomatoes as I am not a tomato fan for real. But making it like spaghetti (without the noodles) or chili are great ideas. Thanks.I am very impressed because I've tried a lot of diets and supplements and nothing seemed to work. I can see a difference and the scales show some weight loss! Yea!I didn't think you could do this diet for more than one week at a time. Is this true? Do you alternate weeks or something. I'd like to do this another week. I've been thinking ahead about what I'm going to do when I'm not using the CSD. I can't wreck what I've started!

Topic: Veggie recipe. Where'd everyone go?

Message: I am guessing it is because the board is so slow. I personally would hate to see the board disappear altogether but not sure what can be done about it. Sounds like a tasty recipe.

Topic: Veggie recipe. Where'd everyone go?

Message: Wow the forums been dead. Where'd everyone go? Ok here's a recipe I like.Slice asparagus, zuchinni and yellow squash into pieces. Spray a pan with Pam and bake until soft about 10 or more mintues. While baking slice up tomatoes, artichoke hearts, cucumbers and black olives and mix in a bowl. When the veggies are done baking mix them with the cold ingredients. Add salt, pepper, garlic and any other seasonings you like. I also mix a little fat free feta or low-fat parmesan which of course is optional. If you don't use the cheese definitely use some fat free spray butter. It's really good with cooked chicken added to. You can add any veggies you like. Yum!

Message: Something I really enjoy is a kind of tomato/cucumber salad. chop up tomatoes, cucumber, celery, and some red onionAdd fresh parsley or cilantro if you have itSeason with salt and pepper and add tons of lemon juice. Its not quite the same with out the balsamic dressing I usually use, but I find it very tasty. Cant wait for tomato day!

Message: Hi Angie, I too only lost on the last few days, so don't be discouraged. Can you feel it making a difference? I could sort of feel it in my stomach, it felt flatter even tho the scales didn't say anything till day 5. Keep going, you will be so glad you did and let us know what your results are or when you see a loss!!

Topic: No weight loss on day 3

Message: Hello Angie -Don't get discouraged. I didn't see any effects until after 3 days. I'm now on day 5 and am very pleased. However, what I noticed from the recipes and posts, is that most have a lot of sodium and processed foods. Some people can metabolize this fine... while others struggle. You can try changing it up a bit. For instance - my diet is purely organic. I use only kosher salt and fresh herbs as seasonings (no lipton soup mix or v8 and so forth). I found a great organic no fat low cal dressing - ginger soy - that I love to add to my soup (just a bit to add flavor - also include fresh grated ginger to make a it hotter). It is also important to eat. Try to snack on the soup all day long (or if its veggie day - snack on raw veggies). This keeps your metabolism going.BTW... Be careful with sugar alternatives. This can disrupt your body from suffieciently processing your intake of food. I used to be addicted to diet cokes and anything sweetened artificially. I've learned to get off of it - currently can't stand the taste - and am extremely healthy/happy because of it. It's easier said than done - I understand that - just gotta get over the hurddle.:rolleyes:I wish you the best of luck -Marathon_Girl
