Hi Josie,
I'm starting today too, and I also need a diet buddy. I think it will be a lot easier with some support and motivation
I'm not in England but am in Germany, so only 1 hour off your time zone!
I was too tired to make some soup last night so it's on the stove now...

Hi
,
Well managed day one kind of, just waiting for soup to be ready but should be in about half an hour. Today has been fine, eaten loads of melon and strawberries and not been hungry, and lots of green tea, but do feel i overdid it on green tea as i feel a bit nauseous now
. Havent tried the soup yet, will post later about how bad/good it tastes
. Hope it is going good for you
. I keep thinking about getting on the scales this time next week and hopefully getting a nice result, keeping me happy at the mo:)

Hey,
Glad to hear it's going well! I also have been eating melon and drinking green tea all day
Also had some soup but it tasted terrible so I added tons more spices and hopefully it will be better next time!
If I can make it through tonight (usually get cravings around now!) then I know I'll be okay for the next few days

Hi there
I am in England, in Kent and I started my CSD today too. So far so good, had loads of fruit, mostly made fruit salads with Apples, Plums, Orange and Grapes. Made my soup and had 3 helpings so far with lots of salt and pepper so tasted quite good!!
I felt really hungry around 3/4pm today and was dying for a chocolate but had a plum instead:mad2:
Hope you two are doing ok and Good Luck for the rest of the week.

Good afternoon everyone! Or morning, whereever you are
Yesterday went pretty well - I love fruit, so not much trouble. Today has been a bit harder - veggies or soup for breakfast, what choice!
Feeling a bit light-headed today, anyone else experiencing that? I took a multi-vitamin yesterday, but I suppose with no protein, it's bound to happen.

Oh, and for the wind:
1 cup water
1/8 teaspoon dried crushed mint
1/8 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
Being a vegan, I find that sometimes I am in need of this to calm my stomach down a bit
It tastes awful, but if you drink it right before a meal, it helps immensely with the "after-effects"!

Hi there guys,
Just been reading your posts and I have not had any "wind" issues - am I doing something wrong maybe??? Had tomatoes (3) and carrot for breakfast and for lunch HUGE bowl of soup and lovely salad, mixed lettuce, tomato, olives, cucumber and added a tomato salsa for dressing and low fat mayo (dont think you're supposed to but, what the heck needed SOME flavour).
I had 5 pints of water yesterday and am on my 4th now but had to cheat with coffee, had 2 yesterday and 1 today (caffeine addict). We are not supposed to have tea/coffee right??
Are any of you guys excercising? I did a 30 min workout yesterday and this morning coz I am so determined for this to work I am so fed up with my clothes not fitting any more!

Hiya all
did you all enjoy your potato? I enjoyed every last morcel, was fantastic, a real treat!
Have a great night and see you tomoorow.
Offline
Hiya,
My potato was heaven! It was so nice to be full up with something other than broccoli
How's everyone doing today? Just had some soup followed by lovely melon for lunch; I made the soup with curry and found it tasted a lot better.
Any results on weight loss yet? I promised myself not to get on the scale until tomorrow but I'm very curious!
Good luck on day 3 everyone!

Hiya
,
Well today i had grapes and melon for breakfast and soup for lunch, slipped up and had one cup of mormal tea with splash of milk but i dont think that will do any harm. Not really sure what to have for tea, dont think i can actually eat another bowl of soup, tomorrow is bananas and milk day, should be good, go from going to the loo everyday to not going LOL. I am feeling light headed i must admit, and headaches, but this could also be because i have my monthly coming up in a few days (i didnt choose a good time to start this with pre-menstrual cravings
).
I havent weighed myself yet, i am curious but also scared, if i weigh myself and nothing has changed i will feel defeated and less likely to see it through, so resist resist!!
I have to stop my diet on sunday instead of as i have to eat salad with chicken (pre-ordered meal)in a restaurant, on sunday which is a bit of a downer, but im hoping 6 days will show results, and can still do final day monday. Has anyone else given in and wieghed themselves yet? I want to but i darent!!!!!!
Hope all okay, we are doing well ladies!!!!!

Hello everyone,
Well day 4 is off to a promising start. Made a yummy banana/soy milk shake with a drop of vanilla and that was surprisingly filling!
Yesterday I had a bit of a slip - I was feeling very light-headed and had a huge headache so I helped myself to a bit of peanut butter (my body doesn't deal well with no protein!).
Stepped on the scale this morning...I was so afraid to look down because I thought I had spoiled it with the peanut butter, but so far I have lost 2.1 kilos. I'm thrilled!
So that's definitely some motivation to keep going. Sorry to hear about the meal on Sunday, Josie, but I think in 6 days you will see some weight shifted for sure.
Anyway, enjoy your bananas everyone!

wow you guys are doing good. I keep stopping in the middle of the diet. I'm determined now though, I need to lose weight by August 31st for a wedding I'm invited to. Ali, I know you said you are in Germany, is that where you are from originally?

Hi guys
I had about 5 bananas already I am so sick of them!!!
Ali your milk shake sounds so nice, I will go and make one now for my lunch.
Emerald, I give up on this diet sometimes too but I find that joining this forum helps as you know that there are others going through the same things you are and it gives me the motivation to go on. Join us or if you havent started yet, i will be doing it again next week and you can be my diet buddy too.
Oh by the way, well done Ali

Hi All ,
Ali well done, 2,1K is fantastic! Sadly i thought i would weigh myself to check all was going good and have put on 1 kilo, my stomache is so bloated i cant wear my jeans and i havent been to the loo since monday
. All i can think is a) i am due on in a few days so it may be pre-menstrual weight or b) due to not using my bowels regular i have filled up or c) it just doesnt work for me
. I am currecntly 132lbs and five foot 4, i hoped to get down to 128, but after weighing myself and seeing i had gained i ate a bowl of muesli and skimmed milk and had a cry, i am starting back on it tomorrow, but am quite deflated, my hubby says i have not lost anything because my body is at its correct weight, but i think that is not true, i always believe you can lose more?
Anyway sorry to deflate the mood, congrats to Ali and everyone else who has done well

awwww Josie
I'm sorry you feel down. Dont dispair about having put on 1 kilo weight goes up and down all the time depending on the time of day and water retention etc, and what with you being due soon, you will be bloated and retain water, it happens to us all. I realised that with this particular diet, its best to weigh yourself possibly in the middle of the following week so that you can really see the benefits of your hard work the previous week (as long as you dont pig out on chocs/cakes etc from Monday).
Anyway we are here to support you as you rejoin tomorrow and it will be better I'm sure, MEAT.... I AM SO EXCITED!!! (I could not take one more banana today, I felt like a monkey, I ate about 8 of them... uuurrrgghhh so I "cheated" and had roasted vegies and salad for dinner).
About your weight to height ratio, I'm no expert but you dont sound too overweight to me, maybe its just inches that you want to lose, like me, get my jeans and stuff to fit again, that is much more important than what the scales say and this diet can make you lose the unwanted bulges here and there.
Good luck and take care
