Re: Banana Milkshake

Hi Brooksidelady!  I forgot we were on the same day.  I tried the shake today and yep grrreat!  I also tried skim milk for the first time and I like it....and i'm not even a milk drinker.   Problem though,  I am pretty weak today.  I don't know if it is from lack of sleep or the diet.  I was pretty busy yesterday..went to nephew's football game (oh the smell of popcorn)  and made a late shopping trip for a large portabella to grill.  Anyway, feeling like I need a pick me up.  Any ideas?

Re: Banana Milkshake

Hi newleaf.....boy...for a minute there I thought I was real important! smiley-smile  I felt a little less chipper today also....but tomorrow and the next day will change everything!  Sometimes being tired can make you feel weak....nothing to do with what you eat.  The bananas should pick you up....otherwise just think about the next few days of MEAT!  Be creative...........haven't figured out yet what meat each day or what I'm going to do with it...but it's a nice problem to work on, I'd say............I've got boneless ckn...ground sirloin and a steak and cod fish all in the freezer....I'll think of something...smiley-unsure

Re: Banana Milkshake

Tried the (fried) bananas....not for me....could hardly gag them down.  Maybe they work better if they are on the unripe side?  Now...the banana milk shake...that rocks!...and the next banana day will consist of only banana milk shakes..........looking forward to my next two protein days smiley-smile

Re: Banana Milkshake

Brookside... you should try the banana shake recipe I've posted in the past.  It tastes like something from Starbucks.   Just look at my posts in my profile or type in "starbuck's" in the search engine.  Yum!!

Here's my version of it...

Re: Banana Milkshake

Hello and welcome DIVA_21 smiley-smile...I have a very simple version...2-3 bananas (depending on size and how thick you want it ), 1c milk... 6-8 icecubes, a little Splenda...a good tsp vanilla...whip it all up in the blender...I make this twice on banana day and then soup the rest of the day.
