Supporting my Husband

Hello!! Well I have convinced my husband to being this diet tomorrow but seeing as I will be doing the food preparation I have a few questions...
Are there certain vegetables and fruits that you are allowed to eat?
All the veg that is in the soup.. is that allowed on day 4 and 5?
Sorry if these questions are a bit silly... I just really want this to work for him and I don't want to mess it up.
He's a fussy eater (when it comes to eating healthy!smiley-wink) so I will be checking the recipie suggestions regularly!!
Thanks for the help!

Re: Supporting my Husband

You can eat most veggies and fruit, avoid starchy veggies such as corn, peas and only a potato on day two.  I don't think there is any fruit you should avoid at all except for banana's -- save them for banana day.

Stick to the soup on days 4 and 5 but if you really must have veggies separate make them the green leafy type

hope that helps

Re: Supporting my Husband

Hi umwedding

You can have as much of the soup that you want on days 4 and 5.  I think you need to stick to this to get the maximum benefit of the diet.  I found that I actually enjoyed the changes because I was a bit full of veggies and fruit by the end of day 3.  You can liquidise two bananas with your skim mild on day four as this makes a very pleasant smoothie.  I made little beef mince balls with tomato slices for lunch on day 5 and then a nice fat steak in the evening that I had fried with chopped tomatoes with garlic flakes.  Just try be creative without using too much salty spices(this will make you retain water)

Just remind hubby that it is only for a measly 7 days of the rest of his life and when he gets through it he will see that the thought of doing it again is very possible and not so scary.
