Hi GOT2Go, |
| GOT2GO - 2007-09-12 16:13:14 |
I'm ready to go for it. Will try to stay on just water, but ugh!!! I also drink an energy drink that is 0 sugar, 0 carbs and 0 carbs. Would that work?? |

GOT2GO...Welcome:)....I drink coffee in the morning and alot of members do... I have given up drinking of any liquor , beer or wine altogether...that's enough sacrifice...soda is a no-no...too many strange ingredients. This diet cleans out your system, and if you are thirsty...water works. I'm sure you will get others opinions...........just post it again...till you are satisfied with the info you get. |

Hi there, I am sure water is the best drink and you will lose the most weight if that is all you drink. However, you will still lose if you drink diet soda and if it helps you stick to the diet then I say go for it. I certainly drank it when I was on csd. I didn't lose as much as some people so maybe you could argue it was the diet soda, but there is no way I can give everything up! I also drank coffee!!!! :) |

Hey csd novice...I get what your saying...I think everyone has to tweak the diet here and there...If that's what it takes to stay with it...just so it doesn't get out of hand...ya know? |

got2go, sounds like you are on your way. water really is the best for you and it helps clean you out and keep you "regular" You will be suprised at some of the other benefits when you stop drinking soda...you skin and eyes for one will begin to look healthier |

I agree with you nancy-mrn...but some people are really hooked on soda...they like the fizz of it and water is so flat...I myself do not drink soda...I don't like it. ....to sweet. Now, as for beer...that is another thing...fizzy, but not sweet. Of course, except for coffee in the morn on the CSD and what's allowed on the 3DD...I have stopped ALL alcholic drinks. I just drink nice cold water ....and as much of it as I can reasonably drink without floating away........... |

Good for you Brookside for giving up the alcohol and never really starting the soda habit |

Thanks for all the help ya'll. I'm on day 2, and sticking with WATER - ready to eat my soup and have some veggies with it for lunch! Soup turned out not so bad. How much do you have to eat? I only had 1 bowl yesterday, water and some fruit. |

The more soup you eat, the more you lose |
| csd novice - 2007-09-18 02:21:16 |
By the way, I only meant one or two diet sodas a day, nothing radical like drinking them all day long or anything! :) |

csd novice...coffee is not stated as a no no on this diet...in fact nothing is stated about coffee, therefore I would think it is acceptable. Molly Mc butter, and ff calorie free dressings etc are not mentioned ...so I would think they are acceptable ...and I could go on and on of the products that are not mentioned...so obviously, one would use common sense in their judgement of using unmentioned things....as for drinking alcohol...diet soda....and starchy veggies such as corn, peas, and dry beans...these are mentioned in the diet rules (the few rules that there are). This is a cleansing diet and I guess alcohol and diet soda just are not cleansing. As far as staying away from the starchy veggies...need I explain that? I don't believe for one minute that all members are refraining from alcohol...that would be an unrealistic assumption....I myself quit all that...no more alcohol, beer, wine and with that went the soda I used with the liquor I drank in mixed drinks. In my seriousness to lose weight...I thought giving these few things up was worth it...and I follow it just as it is. Others on this diet tweak it to their liking....I guess that's the only way they can stay on it...so...you will have to make up your own mind on this, as others have that choose to drink a FEW(whatever it is)... once in awhile.....ANYWAY, GOOD LUCK TO YOU! :) |
