i have a quick and honest question to all i am a beer drinker i never really did the wine thing but in 1 yr i gained 20 pounds from drinking. When i say drinking i mean every weekend Fri,Sat and casually sometimes when cooking dinner during the week just 1 or 2... I was wondering if their was anyone that can give me a little heads up on a good wine to drink and let me know exactly how it taste Sweet,Bitter, Dry??? I want to start having wine instead of beer and my beer is a Corona with lime and salt!!! :PYummy:first: I know that the beer is the reason i gained :bored:so i hear from alot of people to switch to wine... But i also hear its really strong and you get headaches if anyone can give me a heads up i will be grateful... Thanks Oh and since i have been on ths CSD its day 3 i have had no BEER :( LOL only water!!! Scouts honor so i am not a alcohlic LOL:P |

LOL deegirl, I am a hugh wine drinker! and gained I would say the majorty of my weight becuase of that! When you drink alchohol, --wine, beer, gin, rum or vodka...take your pick your body turns that into sugar faster than melting butter on a hot day. And what is worse it will not let it go! |

I also have a confession!! I love to have a glass of whiskey at night to help mellow me out after my hard day at work. I believe since having the ritual of drinking everyday I've put on about 6lbs.. Not only does the alcohol turn it into sugar but it also retains a lot of water. Although wine is a better choice (calorie wise) than hard liquor and beer.. wine is high in sugar and gives you an awful headache.. at least for me it does. I think just stay away from the alcohol all together when dieting. I've been sober for 3 weeks.. maybe drinking two days out of those 3 weeks and with the cabbage soup diet I lost 3 lbs!!! Good luck to you!! :P |

Well even though I know better the past two nights the wine has called my name and I answered, but it is time to put it away for a few weeks and get back to the business of losing this weight. |

Yes I agree with nancy. if you can stay away from alcohol all together. Even the light beers after a month straight of drinking it the weight will creep up behind you. All this talk about drinks is making me crave my whiskey!!!! |
