Oh Twilight you do make me laugh so!
I don't blame the diet at all I have lost a lot of weight since Christmas and as Twilight said earlier today these last few pounds are always the hardest to lose. I now only lose 4lbs for 7 days of CSD and to lose 2lbs to me is good in 3 days! I will definately do this 3DD again before very long because as diets go I like it!
I also believe our weight loss would have been more for all of us had we not been dieting just before starting this diet so our bodies had already got used to less calories or points per day.

thanks you guys, you are all super sweet for talking me off my ledge!
and yes, twilight you are right about it could have been much worse! I was thinking you were going to say something well you could have actually EATEN something at Del Taco instead of going home but yeah your worse theory takes the cake!
I just feel like the past three days has been a waste (except for chatting with you guys
) I restricted myself so much for what? nada. oh well.
sally, good point about the already low cals. hmmmn.
well now I don't know what to do.

Omgirlie! I hate to see you so pi**ed off!
I know how awful it is to put in so much effort and not see a result. Yet I really think the scales can fluctuate so much due to fluids in our body that if you weigh yourself a couple of days after the diet you would see a drop in the scales!! Our bodies have got used to this trend of dieting and probably a week of healthy eating followed by a BLAST of CSD would shock your metabolism into fat burning mode!!
Two things:
1. I really think if you got off this treadmill we are on of following one diet with another, ate healthily and stepped up the exercise for the next few days, you WILL see a difference on Monday morning
2. After losing weight for the past couple of weeks we CANNOT expect to lose more than 1- 2 (maybe 3) pounds in a week from now on.
Hang in there, I am expecting my slow week to hit me very soon. In fact by the sounds of recent postings I think a lot of the girls are suffering from diet fatique:wacko:
Come on, we can do it!!

Yes I totally agree with the breaks in between dieting. We are confusing our bodies that way and that will speed up our metabolism our bodies are in a rut of dieting and weight loss will get slower and slower. I truely believe my success with weight loss has been having breaks in between every diet I do especially because we are on low calorie quick weight loss diets.
I have completed 7 strict weeks of dieting in all in the last 20 weeks and have lost 31 lbs in all but if you average out the weeks it actually works out at roughly 1.5 lbs a week I have lost which is actually what is recommended. I also think this gives me a greater chance of actually keeping the weight off when I eventually get to target. I think what I am trying to say is be a little more patient if you are in it for the long haul!
GOSH SLAP ME I'VE WRITTEN A SENSIBLE POST LOL!

sinead and sally,
you guys both make a lot of sense. I think the non dieting emotional crap that went on yesterday just made me in an all around pissy mood. that coupled with the lack of weight loss on the 3dd had me at my wit's end. I'm starting up my yoga practice again and hopefully my ass will go back to the gym as well. with healthy eating maybe just maybe my stupid freaking pants will fit me again?
I've backed away from the ledge. Thanks for dealing with me and my drama queen moment:blush:

I'm so glad you're feeling better today omgirlie and remember we all hit points like that at times and anyone who hasn't probably will!

Omgirlie,
Even though you've already been talked off the ledge, I just want to get my 2 cents in!
I've been dieting since the end of February, I was doing my own thing until I started csd April 30th and then did the 3dd right after. Anyways, there have been a few times along the way when I hit a rut and either didn't lose or lost less than a pound (so basically, I didn't lose because what is a half pound anyways??) So I would give myself a week off. Yes a whole week and I tried to do it without guilt. And usually I'd either stay where I was or gain a pound or two. Then when I started back up again I would lose like five or six pounds in that week. And that was just healthy eating, not any kind of structured plan.
So don't worry about an off week. I truly believe sometimes we need that both for our metabolism and for our sanity!
Don't give up!

thanks 36!
the diets all say to take a break anyway, I guess we just get all gung ho and don't want to listen! but surely there must be a reason right? it really is about healthy eating isn't it? maybe I'll take a whole week off and see....

There are a couple of you asking about the 3dd, so I bumped it up for you! Juck look on the very first posting by Whittnie116 and there are 2 versions of it, just click on #1 or #2 and that should answer your questions. It is also posted elsewhere, I believe if you look back on the thread titled "MAY CSD CHALLENHGE there are several different diets posted in the middle somewhere. Hope this helps! I'm sorry I am a bit of a computer novice and not too sure about pasting and stuff but this should help.

Did you guys had the carrots and other veggies raw or boiled? Also, I'm allergic to peanut butter so what would be a good substitute?
