I slipped up today....
I felt so horrible...again, that I drank fruit juice and had a bit of pie 
. So instead of berating myself completely I just made today a fruit day and added the soup. Day 7 tomorrow, I can barely wait. I doubt it will ruin it completely, but let's see. What can we do?

That was not a big slip for day 6, don't worry about it look what you have lost so far!
I am on day 3, but I have to admit I am doing this more like the south beach diet rather than csd.
starting the day with egg beaters (egg subsitute) with a little added onion & peppers, then follwoing the csd. And since I use the egg beaters in the am I skipped the potato yesterday and today I am watching the amt of fruit, sticking to mostly veggies. I will do it again tomorrow
I have been watching the calorie intake and I average around 900-1000 per day so for someone like me who sits behind a desk all day and does not exercise that is low enough to lose weight--or at least it has in the past weeks. As long as I don't start adding back in rice, bread and pasta. But the big killer for me is giving up my wine.

I use splenda in my tea so I don't see why not, but I am sure someone will come up with a reason not too. It does say to limit your intake of caffiene so keep that in mind

I just finished eating my baked potato. Today is day 2 for me and it was hard. Harder than yesterday. I usually drink 4 cups of coffee a day but have cut down to 2 cups each day. Thanks for answering my question. I just can't stomach black coffee. It was already hard to not use cream so at least if I could have splenda it'll be ok.

Nancy, glad to hear you are kinda doing SB and csd because I was feeling guilty because I kind of am too!! It's just too hard now what with it being school holidays and going here and there. So I decided to do a modified version of csd this week and then next week when I go back to work I will do a proper csd!!! Phew! My "secret" is oout!!!
And if that's not bad enough I ate a banana and walnut muffin this morning!! Made it for my daughter and her friends who are here playing today and I promised myself I wouldn't succumb to temptation............... the only thing that makes it ok is at least I know what was in it exactly as I made them.
Making stirfry for the family tonite and will pick the chicken out of mine now and just have the veggies!! I will lose 10 pounds this month I will lose 10 pounds this month I will lose 10 pounds this month!!!!
Can't wait for school to start again next week so I can go for my daily walks as well (if the weather cooperates!)

Urggg. Having changed to juice I continued to throw up for the rest of the evening...from what I don't know and now this morning (day 7) I am sick and in bed. Going to try and continue the diet and finish it off today, but let's see.

Hi everyone! Ok, I'm on day 3 today! Soup, Fruits, and veggies right? I ran out of fruit so I'm going to the store to get some this morning. I didn't weight myself today. I'm going to tomorrow morning.
csd novice...hi there! It's so hard to stay on the diet when you go out. That's why I told all my friends that I wasn't going out anywhere for 7 days! I found that when everyone know's what you are doing they help you out by keeping you on track. No worries though..you'll get through this..it'll go by fast...
So far I haven't slipped. I have 2 toddlers and they were eating a snack yesterday...cookies and milk...and I had to serve it to them. That was hard. But I didn't even take a little bite. I hope I''ll be strong today too. Let's see.

I love cookies.
That's the only thing I don't like about this diet is that you have to block yourself off from the world, but then again ocne you have lost the weight, you can show yourself again and know you look better.

I have a party to go to next weekend so I have to keep on reminding myself to stick with it because once this diet is over I will show it off.
A friend of mine is doing the South beach diet. I've decided that as soon as the seven days are over I'm going to go right into the south beach diet. I think the first phase on that one is 14 days. Does that mean I have to find a message board with people who are on the South Beach Diet? I'm getting ahead of myself. I'm going to focus on the 3rd day first before planning my next diet.

I am on day 7 today. Been a bit sick, as of late, so I have not stuck one hundred percent to the diet...i.e yesterday day6 I just had fruit juice and veggies and today I have tried some chicken but I can't seem to keep it down 
My plan was to go straight onto the SB. There are a few of us on here who are going to do so, so you're more than welcome to stay on this board. What day exactly are you going to go onto the SB. I want to build up my immune ever so slightly first before I do so. So I am looking at Saturday or Sunday.
How's the weight loss going?

Well here I am on day four..sb for breakfast with egg subsititue then csd all the way. This will be my day 4 but becuase of the dariy thing it is really a repeat of day 3 for me.
I weighted myself this moring and still no loss, actually I was looking at my diet journal and I have been at the same weight for the past 3 weeks! How discourging!!!!
and I have only dropped 3 pounds since the first of september. I feel lighter today but the scale says differnt. Maybe today is the day I really do start that exercise?

I'm going to be on the south beach diet on October 8th. I have a party to go to on the 14th, 20th, and the 27th. My fears are keeping me faithful on this diet. I am so afraid of gaining all the weight back.
Everytime I think of eating a cookie or something I just think "ok, is the feeling of pleasure stronger than the pain that I would feel if I stay overweight?" Then the answer is always no. The feeling of being overweight always wins.
Hopefully that helps anyone that is having a hard time with temptation.
Hope you feel better husky. Let's do the South Beach together! Just wait for me

I'll wait for you if you want. I'll make a note of the 8th and then I will start with you. I understand exactly what you mean about the fear of weight winning. I feel rather similar. I know that if I pig out I get so worried about being sick that I stop myself from continuing. 
Luckily I am feeling better. It's six in the evening and I'm moving about and getting up. Feeling much much better. Thanks for everyone's support.

Ok..you've convinced me. I'll stay on this message board.
It seems like you've hit a plateau. The same thing happened to me. I got stuck on a weight. Which wasn't bad or good just frustrating.
what I did was I decided to change my routine. I have a theory...I think our bodies got so use to whatever we are doing so it just udjusts and that's how the plateau happends.
I say either start excercising or go on a new diet.
What suddenly worked for me was...now this is going to be unbelievable....I began to stop eating after 6pm. Yup. I ate everything I wanted during the day then I stopped eating at 6pm. I did that for about 3 days then I started to loose weight!!! Then I also started to forst myself to sleep earlier (because I was starving) and then wake up early...and that made me loose weight even more.
I think your body needs to change routines in order to jump start a weight loss.

Thank you Chybbymommy for the suggestions, I have not tried the stop eating at 6pm only because I usually am not home from work until then and I need to eat something for dinner. I go to bed between 9pm-10pm and am up at 5am everyday...so the thought of getting up earlier is not appealing LOL. Actually I wake up around 1am and doze until 5---darn this old age night sweats
I think I will start the exercise this afternoon, but I have hit a plateau before it lasted about this long and it was frustrating but then things began to move again too.
I would love to find a lifestyle I can live with the rest of my life and I think I need to make a happy comprimise between csd and sb? I don't know
Anyway I will keep going what have I got to lose but weight?

I wish I had a lifestyle too that allowed me to lose the weight, keep it off and then be happy. After going through the CSD, I know have a clearer understanding of it all and will make many changes to it when I do it again in a couple of weeks.
Trying the SB diet this week. It sounds more reasonable than anything else. Going into overdrive tomorrow or the next (depending on how I feel), which means at least an hour a day of hard core exercising and toning. The CSD really helped start off the phase of losing weights. Not only can I see a change on the scale, but I can see a change physically too. It's wonderful. I'm recommending the CSD to everyone I know. I've even decided to add the soup into my daily lifestyle plan too.

I am so tired! I ate lettuce and some soup earlier. Now all I want to do is sleep! My daughter is giving me pretend food and I'm actually imagining that it's real food!!!! Ugh.

Husky I do find the sb diet easy to follow and more like "normal" eating habits. And I can go out and eat I just have to be picky what I choose.
Even though I am basicly doing a combination of both the csd is still a part of it. The soup is a great way to get your veggies and it travels well for work.
Chubbymommy we all have days when our energy is down. Eat a bit more soup what you don't want is your blood sugar to drop and make you tired. Maybe give your daughter some of your "real food" ---veggie snacks to serve you with some real tea?

I took a little nap. And I did what you said nancy. I ate some soup it was so hard to swallow. I'm getting sick of the taste! I decided to become creative and make something. I took broccoli, ginger, garlic and teriaki sauce. Did a stir fry and that's it! I ate it up. It tasted like teriyaki chicken w/o the chicken. It satisfied me for a bit then I got hungry again.
As I was making my kids dinner I slipped. i ate 2 tablespoons of mac-n-cheese!!! I feel horrible!!!! Now I'm wondering if that one moment of weakness will now affect my weightloss!!! That would suck!!!!!!! I pray it wouldn't.
My husband is on hiw way home from the store. He got me some fruit. Hopefully that'll keep me from cheating until I go to sleep.
Question....how much milk are you allowed to drink tomorrow? Tomorrow is my banana's and milk day.

My husband came home with a bunch of apples I was so hungry so I ate one. Which is fine cuz i can have fruit today. Maybe that's why I felt weak. I didn't have any fruit,
Day 4 I can have 8 8oz of milk? that's awsome. can i have some cookies with that...ugh..hahahaha! Too bad I can only have 3 bananas! I'm planning on making a nice banana milkshake!! Can't wait.
I'm going to try the soy sauce with my soup. that should give it a nice twist.
Tomorrow is milk, banana, and soup day right? nothing else!!! Ugh hope I can make it.

Hi Tharley and everyone! Today is day 4!!! Bananas...yummy. Milk...yummy. I'm not a big milk drinker but I love putting some in my coffee 
I weighed myself and from the day I started until this morning i lost a total of (drummroll please) 4 lbs!!! I'm so happy cuz I have been the same weight for months. I'm glad the scale says something different now! According to the diet I'm suppose to have lost 5-7 lbs..I'm a little disappointed that I'm one lb short but I'll take it 
It's day 4. After today I have 3 days left. I just have to keep on chugging along. I was so tired yesterday that I didn't excercise. I really wanted to. I feel more energized right now. I have to go out on an appointment but when I get home I'm going to walk a bit on the treadmill.
