Re: Anyone starting Sunday?

I know the feeling! I am so upset, I am unsure what happened to my stir-fry, but it tastes like dung this time! I flash-boiled the cauliflower and brocc. this time. Then added it to the rest. But, good gosh...gross! So, I am nibbling on cucumber. I am unsure what I will have for dinner? I added all my veggies to that. blah.

Oh, well. I am not going shopping unti tomorrow. I guess I willl have to eat more soup! Hmmmm, great.

Re: Anyone starting Sunday?

Hiya 10togo & everyone else on the CSD!

I have started today - 16th April, it's really great to hear about your experience the last 7 days you did 10togo & it makes me even happier to hear that you lost 7lb & still had a bit of alcohol plus I'm also loving the fact you used a little oil & soy sauce to stirfry veggies - it's great to hear that you can still lose a lot in a week even with a few modifications to the diet!! - being new I just don't know how strict I have to be ... I was even stressing at the supermarket today wondering whether to get white or green cabbage!!!!

Good luck everyone!

Re: Anyone starting Sunday?

What is the recommened amount of soup to eat per day to get good results?  The directions say the more you eat the more you lose - it sounds easy but honestly i can't eat more that 1-2 small bowls in one day -

Re: Anyone starting Sunday?

Hiya 10togo!

Thanks for the message - well, I am determined that I will go 'by the book' at least on this first 7 day stint - it's just as my overall target is 25lb I will be having to endure the soup diet for quite a few times, so it gives me hope that if in one of those weeks I add something extra that I should still have a successful week & try not to beat myelf up that I might not lose!

Being only at the end of day 1 & looking ahead to quite a few weeks of the diet can be a little overwhelming - I really do have the motivation though so I know I can do it!!!!!

Re: Anyone starting Sunday?

I can relate with the caffeine withdrawal.  I was on a cleanse before doing this and we had to eliminate coffee and I had a headache (not all day) for 3 days.  So definately give your body time to react to you taking something it's been used to for so long (atleast in my case) to adjust.  I've been drinking a tea called Yerba Mate, not the best tasting, but the benefits are SO worth it.  I add lemon and Stevia, this makes it actually taste good.  I drink it both cold and hot.  I'm almost "scared" to have a cup of coffee again.  Although I do miss the taste I don't miss the fact that I really needed it to get going in the morning.  Much success to you.  I've got one day down, YEAH!!!  Anxious to weigh myself in the morning.  Instant results, isn't that what we all want!!

Re: Anyone starting Sunday?

Agreed! But I didn't see results until the 4th day. So don't beat yourself up if you don't! Hmmm, I will have to check that tea out. I drink green tea as well. I try one a day. I am not a huge fan, but it is beneficial!

Congrats on your first day, Barb! smiley-clapping Well, congrats to all of you! We will be miss skinny's!!!!!!!!

Re: Anyone starting Sunday?

Today is day 3 and i feel pretty good - especially after weighing in this morning and seeing a total of 4 lbs lost - for me that's great - having hypothyroid (slow metabilism) is pretty discouraging when it comes to weight loss- however this is a boost for me!

Yesterday's baked potatoe was like being in heaven- but the "high" was over quick- and it wasn't long before i got hungry again and almost dove into a pile high of spaghetti that i made for my family and friends - but as i said i was determined and today's results has me on cloud nine.....smiley-angel

Re: Anyone starting Sunday?

no prob hopeful! just remember after the diet to be just as strict.

Gosh, I really wish I could have cut out caffeine. I have a cup in the morning and a diet soda during the day. I get crabby as it is, no caffeine would just do me in!

As far as cooking goes...I usually make meals in advance so I don't have to cook. I am still in envy, but then I don't have to feel I slaved over somtheing, but didn't get to eat it.

Hypothyroidsm! That stinks! I hope this gets your body on track. Curious, what does your dr say about the diet?

LEE: That is wonderful! And yes you should, but everyone is different. Sometimes not until day 8.

Re: Anyone starting Sunday?

Hello all.  How is everyone doing today?  I think I just need to stay off the scale.  I, of course, was hoping to shed a pound from yesterday's way of eating, but that didn't happen.  I will continue though.  I can't see how this diet would not break my cycle of weight plateau.  I know I just need to be patient and stick with it.

10togo- How are you doing?  I hope all is well and you are making through each day.  You're on Day 3 right?

Continued success to all!!!

Re: Anyone starting Sunday?

10togo the Dr. doesn't know - I'm doing this - however she did prescribe a med called Xenical that i have used before - however with my current health plan it doesn't cover this diet medication - so i have to pay full price - which is over $240.00 for a months supply - but i have had super results before-

Nonetheless i am so far pleased with this cabbage soup diet and i think when i take off my desired weight i will contine with some modest modifications -

Barb: I am well, just tired. I took a nap yesterday, and woke up sooooo disoriented! Yep, day 3. not looking forward to tomorrow. I couldn't stomach the bananas the last time!
However, I agree with momluvs...Results, results, results.
Hang in there!

Just wait, it will happen. Heres to good thoughts! down 1 lb so far!

Re: Anyone starting Sunday?

Hang in there 10ToGo, if the diet is successful then it will all be worth it.  Maybe try to drink more milk and go easy on the bananas.  Or mix it up and make some smoothies, it's kind of hard to do different things when you only have 2 ingredients to work with!!!  I really thought I'd be making more progress then what I am, I'm down probably a half pound.  Maybe I'm not eating enough of the soup, I eat 2-3 bowls a day and I know I get enough water and tea.  I just keep thinking how the next few days I'll be adding meat and that means more calories so if I'm not losing weight in the beginning will I lose it towards the end, ya know???  Continued success everyone.  Barb

Thanks my dear.....I need it today! Last time I could hardly handle eating much of anything on day 4. Now this time, I think that I will turn into a banana tree! I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo hungry! I don't want to cheat, nonononono.

I haven't seen any results yet either, I am not worried about it though. If we don't lose anything, lets look at it this way: We cleansed our bodies!

Tict though, I bought a half carton of milk, but I can taste the card board in it. Gross!!! What is my deal this week?!!

Let's just all plan to weigh ourselves on the last day and post the results. For me, I guess this time I just want to know at the end. ooooH gurgle gurgle!

Re: Anyone starting Sunday?

Hiya everyone!!

Well done 10togo for managing banana day - I know this was a tough one for you - you are an inspiration to get through it!!

I had it in my head that banana day would be a breeze, but due to the fact that I am struggling a little with the soup today & knowing I can only have the bananas & soup tomorrow I am thinking it is gonna be a tough one!!

Well I do have to make some new soup sometime tomorrow so I might go for some different seasoning & spices to make it taste a bit different - might make the day a bit easier to face!!

Had a test of courage tonight - visited my Nana who loves to basically shove food down everyones throat as soon as they step in the door!!! She gets offended if you say no, so even after explaining I didn't want to spoil my tea & eat anything she still continued to pile me up with chocolate bars, crisps, a huge chocolate roll & 4 iced buns & told me to take them home for later!!!!!

I brought them home & put them straight in the cupboard - I just need lots of visitors to my house in the next couple of days so I can offload them - I don't even want them in the house for after my 7 days are up, might be too tempted to 'celebrate' with some rubbish food!!!

Or I might just send all the stuff to school with my daughter tomorrow & tell her to hand the stuff out - she'd definitely be the most popular girl in the school if I do that!!!!!!!!

Anyway day 3 almost over & by tomorrow lunchtime I will be half way through - yayyyy!!!!!!

Speak to you all soon!

Kerry x
